Completed in 2023, this park renovation project in Newburyport presented a unique set of site-specific challenges. Situated along the harbor, our crews navigated a range of site constraints each day. With the added complexity of a bustling tourist town, the schedule was tight to ensure completion ahead of the busy summer season. Onyx’s Site Work and Civil Infrastructure division led the bulk of the work for this project: removals and heavy excavation, installing new drainage systems, relocating utility lines and replacing existing underground infrastructure. Our Landscape Construction division assisted during the later phase of the project with new paver walkways, stone seating areas, site amenities, plantings and lawn areas. This newly expanded park connects the bustling main street to the waterfront, allowing residents and visitors to easily enjoy all that Newburyport has to offer.
